About Vancouver Branch AAUW
The Vancouver Branch of AAUW was founded in 1931 and is the original branch serving Clark County, WA where there are currently two branches.
Our Members
Our members enjoy the opportunity to meet other professional women in our regular meetings and social gatherings geared towards their special interests.
Our branch meetings, held on the second Saturday of each month, feature speakers discussing current events, community and women's issues. These meetings are open to the public.
Interest groups are member generated based on member interests. They generally meet monthly. Current interest groups:
Education
AAUW's primary focus is education. Annually the Vancouver Branch awards scholarships to undergraduate women attending Washington State University, Vancouver and Clark College. The Vancouver Branch partners with the community college program to introduce girls in 7th through 10th grades to exciting careers with roots in math, science or technology. For those young women who excel in math, science, and technology, our AAUW Branch annually holds a recognition ceremony for juniors in local area high schools.

We are actively involved with other community agencies in projects benefiting women including women in prison and women who are homeless.
